What is your favourite TV show?
Hmm I don't have as much time for TV as I used to but I never miss Soccer am, I enjoying watching
sports in general including athletics, I am a sucker for some reality shows like X factor and What Katie
did next is a must on a Thursday night though id have to say I would probably be team Andre!
What do you do in your spare time?
I am a season ticket holder at Manchester United and have been since 1993, I have appeared in the Sun,
M.E.N and Daily Star as a result!! Also, I was selected through school (Moorside High School) to represent
the club on a TV show called 'What's the Score' with Brendan Coogan! I Love food therefore love going out for
meals, I can eat and eat and eat!! I love spending time with my family but my fave thing is going on holiday!! If I had
the money I would go on holiday every month, not sure my bosses would let me though!!
What is you biggest achievement?
Graduating from University with a Criminology & Sociology Degree, seeing some wonderful parts of the
world such as the Wailing wall in Israel, Havana in Cuba, amazing Mosques in Morocco and living the life
in laid back Jamaica suited me down to the ground!!
Why did you want to become involved with Salford City Radio?
I think its a fantastic opportunity for Salford Community Leisure to promote what we do! I also think the people of Salford will benefit massively as we let people know what's going on in the city for people no matter what your interests, age or ability! We are also on every Monday so the information is all up to date!
How has volunteering with Salford City Radio changed your life?
I now look forward to getting up on a Monday morning and Mondays are not dull anymore. Presenting starts the week with a Buzz ;o)
What does your show bring to the people of Salford?
The show provides information on all sport, health and community leisure activities around the city and promotes health and wellbeing to get everyone active in Salford, you also get 3 lovely ladies loose and live, the giggles are extremely unpredictable!
Who would you interview if you could choose absolutely anybody, and what would you ask?
I would go back 40 years and interview my grandad when he was younger juggling a job, 4 kids and a football club and ask him what motivated him and how he managed to do all that and keep my grandma happy so I could tell my future hubby!! My grandad, Alan Chesters, got a Bobby Charlton award and an MBE for services to Football, he started Barr Hill Football Club in Salford 65 years ago to help young people in the local community and built it up to be the successful club it is today! His dad played football for Manchester United, Spurs and other teams during the war so I guess sport is in our blood!
Whats the best thing that's ever happened to you?
Being born & swimming with sharks!
How would you describe your show? Unpredictable, funny and informative!
