GEOFF HODGE
Do you have a job at the moment?
I work as an IT Consultant for Salford City Council during the day.
I am also a psychic medium and do readings for people on occasion,
plus past life therapy sessions and tarot readings from time to time.
Tell us about your home life?
Chaotic, to say the least! I am married to Julie, and have a
10 year old son, Ben who had Autism and ADHD and a 2 year
old daughter called Maia. We also have 2 dogs and 2 cats. |
What is your favourite record of all time?
I like many songs but my favourites are Suerte by Shakira (Spanish version of Whenever, Wherever),
Mr Rock and Roll by Amy MacDonal and Gravity by Embrace as they all coincided with events in my
life with significant meaning.
What is your favourite TV show?
Firefly, CSI, Most Haunted, Family Guy, The Simpsons, Futurama, Bremner Bird and Fortune, Horizon,
Ashes to Ashes / Life of Mars, Farscape to give you a sample of my eclectic taste
What do you do in your spare time?
Rain dances (weather permitting)
What is your biggest achievement to date?
I have been so lucky that I’ve had many fantastic achievements, including: I’m married with two
wonderful children (well, two children at any rate); I have a degree and a Level 5 NVQ; I’ve spent a
year travelling round South America and visited over 50 counties covering all continents; I’m
achieved my Dive Master qualification for SCUBA diving; I don’t think I could pick just one...
Why did you want to become involved with Salford City Radio?
Ever since starting University in Salford I have been involved with this city. I have worked and studied here for nearly 15 years and most of what I have achieved has in some way been influenced by Salford. This was my opportunity to give something back, in a fun and unique way. How has volunteering with Salford City Radio changed your life?
Give it a chance – I’ve only been on air a few weeks!
What does your show bring to the people of Salford?
My own particular style of gibberish
Who would you interview if you could choose absolutely anybody, and what would you ask?
The person who discovered you could get milk from a cow. I’d ask him or her “What made you think ‘I’ll pull those and drink what comes out’?”
What's the best thing that's ever happened to you?
My family! (Okay Julie, you can stop hurting me now – I’ve written it, okay!)
How would you describe your show?
Killer tunes and random nonsense
