Update on local services in Salford

Posted on Thursday 6th July 2017

Keeping you updated on services in Salford we’d like to tell you about two services in particular parts of Salford. One is the Job Club and the other is the work club. Both clubs are run by Claremont and Weaste Opportunities Club and do the same thing but have different names to distinguish them. The Opportunities Club  is  free to the public and is there to help people in general and those needing support to find work in general  or  a career, voluntary work, to gain advice on health, education, support with computer skills, money management and much more.
The clubs are there for people to have easy access to many services under one roof and services such as  Salford Credit Union, local police, Salford Woman’s Centre, Salford CVS, Salix Homes and where possible any other services needed/requested  are facilitated too.
Job Club at Langworthy Cornerstone, 451 Liverpool Street, Salford, M6 5QQ is every Wednesday 10am till 12pm
Work Club at Hope Library, Eccles Old Road, Salford , M6 8FH is every  Thursday  10am till 12pm
As a community radio station we not only like to keep you informed on services but we also like to be a platform for services and organisations and individuals.
Claremont and Weaste Opportunities Club and the services it works with, as outlined above, will be on Salford City Radio this Monday 10th July 1pm.
Tune in to find out more and if you have any questions for any members of the team phone in on the day between 1.15pm 1.30pm or you can email your questions in before hand to info@salfordcityradio.org for the attention of  presenter Sufiya Rehman in the subject box
You can also email the organisation directly on cwoc.club@gmail.com or look on the facebook page by copying and pasting the following link: Claremont & Weaste Opportunities Centre
If you are an organisation who would like to be interviewed and on our website get in touch with us at info@salfordcityradio.org  and we will see if we can help.
