Remember, remember the fifth of November!

 This Sunday, fireworks will be lighting up the sky, creating those beautiful colors spreading across the dark night.  

All places, like pubs, clubs, parks, and centers will be hosting arrange of events for all the members of Manchester and Salford area to enjoy this Sunday.  

Bonfire night came about when Guy Fawkes, a Catholic tried to blow up the houses of parliament to overthrow the Protestant government. He was found waiting with explosives before he had the chance to set them off.  

Event's organizers have warned that they are tightening up on security this year and will be conducting bag checks. This could mean longer waits in queues so have asked for people to try leave bags at home this year.  

Home owned fireworks and sparklers will be banned at public events.  

Here are the events this Sunday that you have the choice of to go to in Manchester:  

Heaton park will be hosting Manchester's biggest bonfire this year. Visitors will be able to attend from 5pm onwards, with the bonfire and fireworks starting at 7:30pm. All are welcome and it will be free.

Platt field in Fallowfield will be lighting up their bonfire from 7:30pm. Entry is free.

Salford also have a range of events going on for the explosive night. 

Salfords main display will be opening at 6pm with a funfair. The bonfire will be lit at 7pm followed by a firework display. Entry is free.
