Graduating University with First Class BSC Hons Degree in Professional Broadcasting Techniques.

Why did you want to become involved with Salford City Radio?
I was looking for experience working as a Tech Op and SCR allowed me to do so. It provided me with knowledge,
skills and confidence to further myself in the industry. A rock show slot then became available and I took the
opportunity to become the presenter. Working as part of our community is rewarding in many ways and I
have worked with some fantastic, talented and dedicated people at this station.
How has volunteering with Salford City Radio changed your life?
Working at Salford City Radio has given me an amazing amount of confidence and enjoyment, to be involved in something that is going to help with my future career, as well as working with the community. It has developed my knowledge and technical skills, and invaluable experience when it comes to making a career.
What does your show bring to the people of Salford?
My rock show delivers a specialist kind of music to a niche market. It's not something all radio stations would dedicate a whole hour to (the music isnt extremely mainstream, and VERY loud), but there is an audience for it and I have to thank SCR for providing the opportunity for me to play to it. Age range 15-30 and if you're a fan of rock/punk/metal/alternative genre then it would be of great interest to you. I also feature local, unsigned artists/bands. My Monday afternoon show is more of a general music show, with a mix of classic and chart hits, celeb gossip and internet stories.
Who would you interview if you could choose absolutely anybody, and what would you ask?
If I had to pick someone it would be Lady GaGa and I'd ask her whats so amazing about that purple teacup? And also Robert Smith to find out how he has continued to be successful in a 'fickle' business for over 30 years.
Whats the best thing that's ever happened to you?
Graduating from University, Man United winning the treble and hosting 2 shows on't Radio.
How would you describe your show?
Daydream nation is a specialist rock show with a mix of classic rock/indie/alternative/punk and acoustic rock
from the 80's, 90's and now. There's also a feature for local unsigned bands, and weekly events updates in
Manchester. My Monday afternoon show is a general mix of pop/indie/rock with a Top3 chart run-down,
celeb gossip and the best blogs on the internet. :)
