What do you do in your spare time?
Buying and listening to music, but I also follow the Salford Reds. I am currently saving up for a trip to South America next year.
What is your biggest achievement so far?
Outside of work and education its probably my record collection although I don’t think I have achieved the finished thing yet!!
Why did you want to become involved with Salford City Radio?
I liked the idea of being involved in a station where they are letting the DJ’s play some of the music which
doesn’t get a look in on some of the more commercial stations. Radio has always been an important
source of new music for me and I think Salford City Radio is a great opportunity to promote some of
the great music that’s around at the moment.
How has volunteering with Salford City Radio changed your life?
Its given me a great insight into putting a radio show together.
What does your show bring to the people of Salford?
Its one of the few places that you can listen to new soul, hip hop, funk and jazz on the radio.
Who would you interview if you could choose absolutely anybody, and what would you ask?
Questlove of The Roots and I'd ask him for his all time top ten tracks!
Whats the best thing that's ever happened to you?
From a music perspective I'd say record shopping in New York.
How would you describe your show?
Its up front soul, hip hop, funk and jazz from underground, independent artists. |
