Drive with Ian Rothwell

with ''A Bit of Everything''

I'm a fan of 1960's music especially the instrumentals (keyboards) and non commercial tracks. I air as many of these as I can find together with a wide range of music from Northern Soul, Rock, 70's Ska and Reggae. You can join me between 5 and 6pm each Thursday for ''A Bit of Everything''. You never know what you might hear!

I am also interested in vintage radio like the pirate stations and The Prisoner television series.

You can hear interviews with local bands and many different artists and Salford People. I have interviewed Alexis Karl an American Gothic Opera singer, the Ladies from Park Farm Ramsbottom, John Hamlin and Lee Goulden, City of Glass from Invisible Girl records, singer Louise Bowyer, Paul Ashton, local composer, promoter & musician, Carrie Mason singer & songwriter, also pianist Fiona Bennett, jazz singer Georgina Jackson, Kerena K, Kirsty Almeida, local authors David & Tracy Holroyd, Harold Riley the famous Salford Artist also Roger Ruskin Spear & Rodney Slater from ''Three Bonzos' & a Piano'' and the Ratcatchers.

You can also hear me on the Weekend Gold Breakfasts with Gordon between 6 - 9 Saturdays & Sundays for lots of music from the 60's, 70's & 80's
