Shell Zenner - Sunday

the best new music and interviews every week..

I'm Shell Zenner, a vintage dress wearing, cupcake making, vinyl junkie and new music obsessive!  Leicestershire born and bred, but now living and breathing Salford, Manchester and the North West.

I get my kicks from obscure instruments, flea markets, festivals, gigs and sharing the best new music around.

I've religiously frequented gigs and festivals since i was a teen, some years later and you start to think is this a hobby or is this more?.. i started off writing gig reviews but quickly realised that my passion was for listening to and sharing new alternative music in audio form.  A friend suggested I get involved with my local station Salford City Radio 94.4fm and the rest they say is history!

My radio shows air the best, in my view -pre and new releases and feature interviews with up and coming bands alongside more established artists.  A small selection of guests featuring on the show in recent months are - Twisted Wheel, The Temper Trap, Groove Armada, Local Natives, Editors, Wild Beasts, Midlake, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart and Beach House.

If that isn't enough I can also be found gracing the pages of Manchester's Chimp Magazine, where I currently offer my views on the latest single releases.. Find out more on:http://www.chimpmagazine.co.uk/

Tune in Thursdays at 9pm and Sundays at 5pm on 94.4fm or www.salfordcityradio.org
