If I was a music journalist, then I would imagine Death to the Strange could have given me a huge headache. But I'm not so here goes.

Death to the Strange are a band that you just can not pigeon hole. Try at your peril you are doomed to fail. Just when you think you have this band sussed they will pleasantly surprise you by going off in totally different direction. If you want Indie rock, 60's pop, perfectly harmonised folk or something that may only exist in your own head, then I have no doubt that DTTS could supply it.  I have witnessed an audience being a little confused and hugely surprised by this unique and very talented Salford 4 piece [plus one Manc]. You can dance, you can sing and you can smile while you are mesmerized by Death to the Strange. With two singer/songwriters [Daniel and John] in the band and two multi instumentalists [Rob and Adam] DTTS are surely destined for a huge career.

When I heard them sound check at a recent gig, (where they played in front of 180 plus revellers at Islington Mill) I truly believed I was watching the future of music. Just watching drummer Jamie warming up was worth the price on the door in itself. With a little luck I'm sure Salford will soon have another reason to be shouting our mouths off again.  Check them out or look proper daft in a year or so.
